Spray Insulation in Humid Areas

I've heard that there are concerns regarding using spray insulation in high humidity areas such as Houston. And this is for a 3 story townhouse....two units together. We heard that the house needs to 'breathe' and spray could cause problems. What concerns are there regarding this and how should such a house with spray foam be managed? Thanks
