What type of insulation should I put around pipes that carry hot water from the furnace to radiators?

(The old insulation was asbestos, which was removed)

Answers:

1Use R-12 Fiberglass pipe insulation with a tyvek backing. Use aluminum tape for the joints, and miter the corners for a real snug fit.
You may need to contact an insulation supply house for this insulation, but it works. I've Infrared tested it in attics.
