How close should insulation be to the foundation vent.?

Hi
I am installing insulation between the floor joists on my raised floor. My question has to do with the foundation vents. If I fill the whole cavity, it will cover the vent. Should I leave it empty, or how far should the insulation from the vent.

Thanks,

pb4sc

Answers:

1just taper it up to the floor just before the vent...that way your floor is insulated and your vent can still circulate air...
