1Polystyrene is not bio degradable and virtually 100%water proof. It also does not allow any fungal growth also known as 'rot'. Only physical destruction can disintegrate polystyrene, so in answer to your question, no it doesn't

are you talking about polystyrene or spray foam. because spray foam can be damaged by uv.
