Will using insulated panels on my foyer walls help? | |
I live in a condo that has a foyer area at ground level and stairs up to my home. The foyer area is only 10 degrees warmer than the outside even in 30 degree weather! We have added insulation inside the walls and it has not helped at all. There is a heating vent down there too. They are all outside walls and I was wondering if you think the insulated panels would help. We also live above non heated garages and my carpeted floors are ice cold. Anything i can put under the carpet and padding? The garage ceilings are stuffed with insulation too. Please help!

well, first with your ice cold floors. what you can do is to blow in some insulation under the floor so that the crawl space will be insulation. as for the foyer, what you can do is to really install those insulated panels. vapor barriers could also help.
