i have a 2x6 frame garage with 2x4's on outside of walls every 2ft. for the steel siding.inbetween the 2x4's i have 5x8 osb can i put a rigid foam insulation over the osb to bring it out flush with the 2x4's and not having to worry about moisture rot

i am worried about moisture rotting out wood.

what you need to use is the type of insulation that has moisture-preventive features. you can find a lot of those insulation material in your local home depot store.
