what kind of insulation



on the bag of insulation is partek. basaltic rock. is this safe to use in attic? bags weigh 30 lbs. how thick does this insulation need to be?

it is not advisable to use the raw basaltic rock as insulation nowadays for attic. it is not safe and there are now available insulation materials made from basaltic rock that can be used for insulation. fiberglass made from basaltic rock may be best used for your attic.
