air blowing central heating - economical?? | |
i have just moved home and my new central heating is a series of vents which blow out hot air. it is a gas boiler which feeds this. however i am worried that it is not energy effecient. does anybody have any experiences of this or tips? it seems that the house warms up but then goes cold quickly. i am reluctant to leave the heating on all the time for cost reasons. yet it seems the only way to keep the house warm.

the boiler is cost and energy efficient since it uses water to boil and generate heat but the process of heat distribution is not that efficient. you may use other distribution system like radiant heating system which basically uses boilers but heat the house through floors.
