i have a home that's about 50 years old with blown in attic insulation that is grayish and itchy. i want to make sure it does not contain asbestos. what type of insulation does this sound like?

i think you should call someone from your area that knows about insulation this old; a contractor might be helpful. you should be aware of this and let this be checked. this could cause problems in the future.
