i would like to know what the pro's and con's are of installing 4 mil or 6 mil poly over fiberglass insulation with or without kraft face?



i recently purchased an an old home that has 2" x 4" studs for exterior wall framing. i want to know what you recommend for maximizing energy at a reasonable cost. thank you.

there are lots of benefits on installing poly over fiberglass insulation, whether it be 4 mil or 6 mil, it will definitely help insulate the room. using fiberglass for insulation is reasonable since it will benefit you for years than other materials.
