what's the best way to insulate under an existing bay window/bump out that overhangs a concrete patio?

the bump out is floor to ceiling and the part of the floor that overhangs the patio is ice cold in the winter and hot in the summer. i'm guesing there is no insulation between the hardwood floor and the concrete patio. the problem is there is only an inch or two gap between the exterior bumpout and the patio. can i use the cans of expanding foam insulation for this application? will water from the patio be absorbed by the foam? any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

fiberglass is a good option in my opinion. since it is easier to work with considering the 2 inch gap in there. but expanding foam is good too since it is going to be able to cover even the smallest spaces.
