should a gap be left between exterior sheathing and foam board installed inside it? should a gap be left between foam board and an interior wall?what if the foam board is reflective? cold climate, old house rehabbing.

there should be no gap in between the walls and the foam insulation, this is to ensure that no moist will form in between.
