insulation for under floor on pier & beam home | |
i have a pier and beam home and no insulation under my flooring and have removed most of the carpeting and gone back to the original wood floor. is their a diy spray foam product for me i can do myself or another suggestion of product? not real excited about fibreglass. i'm confused about open cell vs closed cell foam. i was told i should use open cell in case of a water leak inside the home so the water would not trap. can anyone help? need to do something before winter so i don't get frostbite.

we live in a pier and beam and we are about to insulate under our floors with roll in insulation supported by chicken wire. i have also heard of the the sheets of insulation being placed under the floors.
