how do i prevent a water pipe from freezing when it is facing an exterior wall?

i am rennovating my bathroom but due to the tight space, i have no alternative but to lacate a pipe for the shower inside a wall facing the exterior. suggestion of pipe material and proper insullation and installation by nj coed is appreciated. my house is located in chatham, nj. thank you.
