if this is a new house you should consider integrally insulated walls which is closed cell foam sandwiched between two layes of concrete. this protects your insulation and gives you maximum thermal mass on the interior. the fire rating for a product like this is off the map. another nice option is that you do not have to drywall as there is no fire hazard in the interior. you can find out more at www.thermomass.com
