why is my upstairs so hot? bedroom over the garage



we have a 2 story home - master is over the garage.
our master is unbearably hot!

it's simple. either too much heat getting in or not enough capacity for cooling. my guess is too much heat gain. look up "thermal bypass checklist" you probably don't have the trusses sealed between the 1st & 2nd floor. essentially hot air is creeping between the two floors which have no insulation. usually when the install the batts to bottom of the floor they fall down right after they sheetrock.
