i'm finishing my attic. for my zone an r of 38 is recommended, however i only have 6" studs. how do i get my recommended r? does it make that much of a difference?

with either cellulose or foam i need about 10" of insulation to get to an r of 38. with the 6" studs i have cellulose gives me an r of 22.8. spray foam can get me to an r of 24 (at about 4 times the cost of cellulose). any recommendations?

cellulose would be my recommendation. it prevents mold and moisture to build up.
