How does your foam insulation help prevent mold & mildew?

Foam insulation is one of the best types of insulation as it is very easy to install and there is a big variety of areas and spaces where it can be used. The main idea of that kind of insulation is that once it has been inserted to an opening or a gap it expands enough to fill it to the maximum, thus it will not let any air get through either into or out of the house. This is the main thing how it helps to protect against mold and mildew as the gap is filled as much as it can be filled so there is absolutely no space for mold to gather. In addition, foam insulation does not let any humidity through and as humidity is one of the factors that makes mold and mildew grow than if there is not humidity than nothing will grow.

Thus, foam insulation is an important part of a proper insulation and you should not even consider whether you need it or not, just face the fact that foam insulation is a certain must. As it was explained it does not only help to insulate your home, but in addition prevents mold and mildew from in the gaps in your walls.
